This cottage is built on a slab foundation, making it not only simple to construct but efficient in its use of materials. The large windows in the living room and bedroom open to cedar planter boxes, one of many exterior details. The entry porch below is framed in cedar columns and open truss work above on top of stone wrapped columns. The stone continues around the entire lower level/grage. The upper part of the cottage is wrapped in cedar board and batten siding with rough-sawn cedar beam end details at the gable ends. The mechanicals are all located down in the garage making for more usable space in the cottage unit above.
