This forms a vestibule that keeps wind and rain from entering the sleeping area. Side walls are designed for rigid insulation and the roof lifts off for easy cleaning. Treated lumber is recommended for the base and the 2-foot by 4-foot deck. It takes just one bundle of shingles to cover the roof. Dimensions of the dog house are 4 feet wide by 3 feet deep. The plan also includes directions for making a heated, weatherproof feeding station that will keep food dry and prevent drinking water from freezing.
