You will find this unique bench a good way to provide seating and a table for outdoor entertaining without sacrificing a lot of space or money. Pivot the seat back up and you will have a comfortable table with built-on bench for up to four people. With two benches, you can place them back to back as shown to create a conventional picnic table. This design has no cross bracing to interfere with your legs and utilizes stock lumber sizes. Parts can be cut with hand tools and fasten with bolts and wood screws. At season's end, invert one bench upon the other for compact storage. Overall dimensions of the bench are 72 inches long, 30 inches high, 24 inches deep.
