David and Stacey Copeland understand teamwork. The Texas
couple both work for Microsoft, where she manages a team that
supports its Web server and development software, and he is
a technical lead for its small-business products.
The Copelands had bought some land and thought about building
their dream home, so they turned to Homeplans, part of Move. They chose Plan BOD-42-1A because, in Stacey's
words, the plan "had everything we wanted: master bedroom
downstairs, game room, lots of storage space, and the
outside looked great—both front and back!"
These two go-getters teamed up with the Design Services
division of Homeplans, part of Move, to make a few necessary modifications so the home
would better suit their lifestyle. The experience was worth
mentioning, says Stacey. "[The Design Services folks]
were very nice and made sure to ask us the right
questions."
And so construction began, a process that so enthralled the
Copelands, they followed its progress online with a site
dedicated to "the Copeland Villa"! Ten months after
ground-breaking, the Copelands moved into their new home.
And boy, do they enjoy it.
"We love the entryway, the Great Room, the kitchen
and the master suite," says Stacey. "The columns,
high ceilings and [abundant] space are excellent!"
What does the future hold for the Copelands? "We want
to share our home with family and friends," says Stacey.
"Eventually, we would like to be able to add to our
family."
Hmm . . . sounds like the Copeland team might gain a
new member soon!
