Owner-specific modifications:
Moved main entry to end of home, due to lot constraints
Ken and Karen Ebersole of Bremerton, Wash., had a very clear
idea of what their dream home should offer: a mountain view!
With its expansive windows, Plan NW-579 was the perfect choice.
Built in six months, the home maximizes the family's westward
views of the Olympic Mountain Range and a lake, inviting the
sun in all day, but especially at night. "Incredible
sunsets!" Karen gushes.
Karen, a military reservist and craft instructor, loves the
home's open floor plan and the Great Room effect created and
capitalized on by the living room, dining room, and kitchen.
She and her husband, a retired military teacher, plan to stay
in the home indefinitely, decorating it "and enjoying our
view from the cathedral windows!"
What is life like in this home? Karen puts it best:
"I wake up with a cup of coffee, looking out my expansive kitchen
window at the mist over the still, quiet lake. My son enjoys
breakfast at the breakfast bar as I prepare his lunch on school
days. Dinners are eaten (weather permitting) on our deck,
enjoying the view; or at the dining table with its view. Evenings
in the living room end the day with the sunset."
Who says there's no such thing as utopia? Congratulations, Ebersoles!
