Owner-specific modifications:
Added square footage to upper and lower floors (plan as sold is 2,112 sq. ft.)
Added office/guest quarters above garage (not included in square footage figure above)
Removed glass block wall between entry and dining room
Numerous other cosmetic changes
Kelli and John had a very practical reason for choosing to
build a new home: They had simply run out of space in their
old house. "We chose plan DW-2112 for its curb appeal,
welcoming porches and many windows," says Kelli.
Ten months after breaking ground on this their first building
project, the couple completed their home and moved in. They
love their new home's tall ceilings, open floor plan,
windows and porches.
Their future plans for the home include a possible swimming
pool, but for now they're content to watch passersby. Shortly
after they moved in, Kelli wrote to us and said,
"...a couple were outside taking pictures of our
house. That is the third time we have caught people
doing that! It's really kind of funny to watch, and we
wonder what is going through their minds at the time."
Undoubtedly, they're dreaming of a home like hers.
