Kent and Sherri Eastley leave no room for misinterpretation when
they state why they chose Plan DD-1544. "Style, style,
style!" they say.
"Kudos to an architect who is bold enough to actually put
style into the design of small houses these days," says Kent.
The architect, Danze & Davis Architects of Austin, Texas, markets
many of their smaller house plans through Homeplans, part of Move.
The Eastleys decided to build their own home after finding themselves
stymied in their search for a unique, stylish home. The young
professionals were drawn to this design by its open floor plan and
its—here comes that word again—style. They were also impressed
by the option to modify the home to suit their specific
lifestyle needs.
The Eastleys name the front facade and window treatments as two
of their favorite features, but it seems nearly everyone who has
seen it—from invited guests to passersby—has weighed in with their
own opinons! "Everyone who comes by . . . raves about it,"
says Kent. "We love the house—the look, the floor plan,
everything."
Recently, the Eastleys decided to move closer to their work and
so had to leave this home. But they left with many pictures—and
memories of a stock-plan experience that brought them a beautiful
house for a fraction of the cost of a custom blueprint.
It sounds like Plan DD-1544 has found a place in their hearts—forever.
