When Lynn Ramsey moved to the small town of Bowie, Texas, she
found there weren't many homes up for sale that met her non-negotiable
list of requirements. This did not ruffle Lynn, who, as the only
woman partner in a large regional CPA firm, is used to conquering
new territory. She decided to build a home of her own.
Lynn chose plan E-1909 because it met her long list of requirements,
including a big front porch and a large master bedroom with a
luxurious private bath. She was also drawn to the home's distinctive
curb appeal and the large living room for visiting children and
grandchildren.
Though happy with the home's basic design, Lynn made a number of
customizations. She redesigned the entry, installed double doors
to the master bath, and added extra counter space to the utility
room. "It's a fun house to live in; it's great for casual
entertaining," says Lynn. "The split design allows
privacy for overnight guests, and the large main living area is
perfect for when my large family visits!"
