Owner-specific modifications:
Added window in dining room
"We had a beautiful lot and wanted to have something special
that would exactly suit our needs," says R. K. of Delaware,
who chose plan K-162-J. R. K. was especially drawn to the
free-flowing, open space created by the separate-yet-cohesive
dining room, family room, dinette and kitchen.
Now that R. K. and his family are settled in, they appreciate
the spacious kitchen, the functional mud room and pantry, and
the wide foyer as much as they love the cathedral ceiling
capping the dining and living rooms, and, of course, the
stone family room fireplace that matches the home's stone
facade.
Though R. K. is happy with the home so far, he has dreams for
his living space. Eventually, a deck will stretch across the
back of the home from the family room to the mud room, thus
creating a lovely outdoor area from which to admire the wooded
lot that first inspired the building project.
