Spanish/Mediterranean
Spanish and Mediterranean-style homes mimic those traditionally found in Mediterranean countries, particularly Spain, France and Italy. A low-pitched, clay tile roof, often red, is the most distinctive characteristic of this style of home. Usually finished in stucco, these homes often include a courtyard or patio, columns and arched windows and openings. Wrought-iron balconies and details are also characteristic of these homes. Note: Florida-style homes, with grand entries, stunning window arrangements and fabulous back patios and pools, are also included in this category.
